Coconut Cherry Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. maraschino cherries, chopped
    2/3 c. flaked coconut
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits
Preparation
    Spread dough in greased jelly roll pan.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 25 minutes.
    Cool slightly, then cut into 40 bars.
