Hawaiian Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large angel food cake
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    1 large Cool Whip
    1 can coconut
    1 jar maraschino cherries, chopped and drained
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Break cake into small pieces.
    Arrange a layer of cake in bottom of deep bowl.
    Mix pineapple, cherries and nuts together in a bowl.
    Toast coconut in a skillet on stovetop by stirring over low heat until brown; set aside to cool.
    On the layer of cake spread the fruit mixture, then layer of coconut.
    Then a layer of thawed topping.
    Then repeat until everything is used up and finish topping by adding coconut as final item.
    Keep in refrigerator.
