Shoo-Fly Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. shortening
1/8 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. molasses
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients.
Mix liquids.
Alternate dry and liquid ingredients in pie shell (8-inch pie shell), ending with dry ingredients.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until firm (toothpick test).
