Daisy'S Oatmeal Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. quick cooking oats
1 c. boiling water
2 Tbsp. Crisco
2 Tbsp. salt
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cold water
1 yeast cake
flour
Preparation

Pour boiling water over the oats; while hot, add Crisco, salt, molasses, sugar and cold water.
Stir in flour and stir as long as can be stirred easily; adding flour as needed to knead well.
This can be assembled and mixed down overnight.
In the morning, it will be ready for tins.
Let rise and bake about 40 minutes at 300\u00b0.
Will make 2 double loaves.
