Italian Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 to 3 lb. chicken
    1 onion, diced
    1 clove crushed garlic
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 c. hot water
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    4 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced
    1/2 c. white wine
Preparation
    Skin chicken; remove all visible fat and cut into serving pieces.
    Place all ingredients, except mushrooms and wine, into pot over medium-high heat.
    Bring to boil.
    Cover.
    Reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes.
    Add mushrooms and wine and simmer for 5 more minutes.
    Garnish with parsley sprigs.
