Ground Beef And Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef (lean)
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 c. chopped onion
    3 Tbsp. uncooked rice
    1 can tomato soup
    1 soup can water
    3 c. coarsely chopped cabbage
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown ground beef in oil until browned and crumbly.
    Mix in onion, salt, pepper and rice.
    Cook 2 or 3 minutes longer.
    Add soup and water; mix thoroughly. Remove from heat. Spoon cabbage into 1 1/2 or 2-quart casserole.
    Pour meat mixture over cabbage to completely cover.
    Do not stir.
    Cover and bake in a slow oven at 325\u00b0 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
