Yum-Yum Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 small pkg. orange Jell-O
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. grated cheese
    1 small carton Cool Whip
    1/2 c. or more chopped nuts
    miniature marshmallows (optional)
Preparation
    Boil sugar in water. Add Jell-O and pineapple. Let stand to cool. Fold in cheese, Cool Whip, nuts and marshmallows. Let set to congeal. Stir occasionally as it begins to set. May be served as a salad on top of lettuce or as a dessert.
