Vanilla Cherry Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped maraschino cherries, well drained
    1/3 c. butter, softened
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1 Tbsp. Kirsch liqueur
    2/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/3 c. slivered almonds
    1 c. vanilla-milk-flavored chips
    Vanilla Chip Drizzle
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Line a 9-inch square baking pan with foil. Grease and flour.
    Blot cherries between layers of paper towels. In a small mixer bowl beat butter, sugar, eggs, corn syrup and Kirsch until blended.
    Add flour, cocoa and baking powder.
    Blend until combined.
    Stir in chopped cherries, almonds and vanilla chips.
    Pour into prepared pan.
    Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan.
    Cool completely. Cut into squares.
    Garnish with Vanilla Chip Drizzle.
