Scalloped Asparagus - cooking recipe

1/3 c. butter or oleo
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 (16 oz.) can asparagus tips
milk
1 pimiento, chopped
4 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
1/2 c. grated American cheese
1/3 c. fine dry bread crumbs
Preparation

Melt 4 tablespoons butter and stir in flour, salt and pepper to make a smooth paste.
