Caramel Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. caramels (about 28)
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 c. pecan halves
    unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    Place caramels, water and butter in double boiler. Heat until melted, stirring until smooth. Combine sugar, salt, eggs and vanilla. Mix well; add to caramel sauce and pecans. Stir well. Pour into crust. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
