Chili Mac - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 medium onion, chopped
    1/3 c. chopped green pepper
    1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans (undrained)
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/2 c. water
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    1 bay leaf
    1 c. uncooked elbow macaroni
Preparation
    In a large skillet, cook meat, onion and green pepper until meat is browned and vegetables are tender. (Electric skillet at 350\u00b0.) Drain off fat. Stir in tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce, water, chili powder, salt and bay leaf. Bring to a boil, then add macaroni. Cover and reduce heat to low (220\u00b0). Simmer, stirring frequently, until macaroni is cooked (about 10 to 15 minutes). Remove the bay leaf before serving. Serves 6.
