Stuffed Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 green peppers
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 c. cooked rice (2/3 c. uncooked)
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
Preparation
    Cut peppers in half lengthwise; remove seeds and wash. Combine beef, cooked rice, onion, salt, pepper and 1/2 can tomato sauce. Pile mixture into peppers in large baking dish. Pour sauce over each pepper. Cover tightly and bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 1 and 1/4 hours or until peppers are tender, basting occasionally. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
