Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Duncan Hines chocolate cake mix
    1 1/2 sticks butter
    14 oz. Kraft caramels
    1/2 c. Eagle Brand milk
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. milk chocolate chips
Preparation
    Prepare cake mix by directions on box.
    Pour half of mixture into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake 20 minutes; remove from oven. While cake is baking, in saucepan, combine butter, caramels and milk.
    When sauce is melted and smooth, add pecans.
    Spread sauce filling over hot cake.
    Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
    Add remaining cake batter and spread over top of filling.
    Bake 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool completely and cut in squares.
