Orange Loaf Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 orange
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. oleo
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 eggs
1 c. raisins
nuts (optional)

Preparation

Cut orange.
Squeeze over 1/2 cup of the sugar.
Grind the orange peel and raisins twice.
Cream remaining 1 1/2 cups sugar and oleo.
Add eggs, then milk, mixed with the soda, orange/raisins and flour.
Bake in 325\u00b0 oven for 30 to 45 minutes. Spoon sugar/juice over hot cake.
