Potato Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening and margarine, mixed
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    4 eggs
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    2 c. walnuts, chopped
    1 c. hot mashed potatoes
    1 c. Hershey's cocoa, mixed with the flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and margarine; add sugar gradually and beat until fluffy.
    Add eggs and beat until light.
    Add hot mashed potatoes and blend together.
    Sift flour; measure and add salt, baking powder, chocolate and spices.
    Sift again.
    Add dry ingredients alternating with milk and vanilla.
    Beat after each addition.
    Fold in nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes for layers, 1 hour for loaf.
