Bread And Butter Pickle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 gal. sliced cucumbers
2 c. sliced onions
1/2 c. salt
2 c. sugar
4 c. vinegar
1 tsp. ground mustard
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. turmeric
2 dill heads
1 tsp. chopped onion
1/8 tsp. red pepper
1/8 tsp. alum
3 saccharin tablets
1 qt. vinegar
3 qt. water
1/2 c. salt (scant)
Preparation
-
Pour over pickles what you
need
and save remainder for another time.
Enough for 4 to 5 quarts.
Put
to
cold pack and when begins to boil, remove at once.
