Ingredients

1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
3/4 c. granulated sugar
6 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. salad oil
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
3/4 c. brown sugar
Preparation

Sift together flour, granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Add milk, oil and vanilla; mix until smooth.
Stir in nuts.
Pour into greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.
Combine brown sugar, remaining cocoa and 1 3/4 cups hot water; pour over batter.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.
