Chinese Style Green Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen French-style green beans
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 can sliced water chestnuts
1 (14 oz.) can bean sprouts, drained
1 medium onion, chopped
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1 (3 oz.) can French fried onions, crumbled
Preparation

Grease a 2-quart casserole dish. In a saucepan, melt the butter. Stir in the flour until smooth. Add the milk gradually, stirring constantly. Cook, stirring until thickened. Add the salt and pepper. In the prepared dish layer half of the green beans, half of the water chestnuts, half of the bean sprouts, half of the mushrooms, half of the onions, half of the cream sauce and half of the cheese.
Repeat the layers. Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes. Top with fried onions and bake for 10 more minutes. Serves 6.
