Rice Pudding With Raisins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rice
    1 qt. milk
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. nutmeg
    3 Tbsp. vanilla flavor
Preparation
    Mix 1/2 milk
    and
    the
    1/2
    cup of water.
    Heat slowly until hot.
    Add
    rice,
    sugar and salt.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Cook over a low
    fire
    for
    2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    Remove from heat. Add
    remainder of milk, raisins, nutmeg and vanilla.
    Pour in a greased baking pan and bake for another hour in moderate oven at 350\u00b0.
    Serves 6 to 12.
