Glazed Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. chicken parts
    1 bottle red Russian dressing
    1 envelope onion soup mix
    16 oz. jar apricot preserves
    1/2 c. barbecue sauce (optional)
    salt and pepper (optoinal)
    garlic powder (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix dressing, soup mix and preserves in a large bowl.
    Dip chicken parts into mixture and coat well. Place on foil-lined pan, pour remaining mixture over chicken. Bake for 1/2 hour on each side, turn once more and raise temperature of oven to 375\u00b0.
    Bake for another 1/2 hour.
    During this time glaze should thicken.
