Dutch Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. granulated sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 egg
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream the first 3 ingredients well.
    Then add the rest of the ingredients.
    Mix all ingredients and pour into 2 (9-inch) cake tins.
    Batter will be thick.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
    Then dot with butter, pushing butter down into the dough. You may add apples or blueberries to the batter.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    If you add fruit, bake 5 minutes longer.
