Old Fashioned Cornmeal Mush - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cornmeal (white)
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 c. cold water
    4 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients together and stir into boiling water very slowly.
    Turn down fire and cook slowly, stirring, for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Eat warm with milk and sugar or lump of butter.
    If desired, you may fry by pouring into an oiled loaf pan and store overnight.
    The next day, slice and fry crisp in hot fat over hot fire.
    Serve immediately with butter and syrup.
