Sour Cream Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. corn meal
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 1/3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg, well beaten
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 c. sour cream
    4 Tbsp. milk
Preparation
    Sift flour and corn meal.
    Measure and add soda, cream of tartar, salt and sugar.
    Sift again.
    Add beaten egg, sour cream, milk and melted shortening.
    Beat thoroughly.
    Pour into a greased pan (9-inch) square.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
