Cranberry Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans whole cranberry sauce
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. orange gelatin
    2 c. boiling water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 c. mayonnaise
    2 apples, peeled and diced
    1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Heat and strain cranberry sauce, reserving liquid.
    Dissolve gelatin in water; add salt, lemon juice and reserved cranberry liquid.
    Chill until partially firm; beat until fluffy.
    Mix together mayonnaise, diced apples, cranberries and pecans.
    Chill in 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Serves 18.
