Ranch Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 egg
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Beat buttermilk and egg together slightly.
    Sift cornmeal, baking powder, soda and salt together; add to buttermilk and egg mixture.
    Pour into a hot 9-inch iron skillet, into which 2 to 3 tablespoons bacon drippings have been melted.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
