Salsa - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. ripe tomatoes
    3 to 4 c. green peppers, chopped
    1 to 2 c. hot peppers, chopped
    2 c. onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 to 10 dashes Snappy Tom or Texas Pete hot sauce (depending on degree of spiciness desired)
    1 1/2 c. vinegar
    1 (10 oz.) can tomato paste
    1/4 c. catsup
Preparation
    Bring all ingredients to boil and simmer at least 30 minutes (3 to 4 hours in slow cooker).
    Process in sterilized pint and 1/2 pint jars in hot water bath for 30 minutes.
    Yields 8 pints.
