Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 unbeaten egg
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Cream shortening; add sugar and beat again.
    Add egg, molasses and beat.
    Add remaining ingredients which have been sifted together.
    (I put dough in refrigerator until it's firm and use a glass to press down before baking.)
    Roll dough into balls size of small walnuts.
    Roll in sugar and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for about 15 minutes.
