Toasted Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. rice
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 cans consomme
    1 c. water
    6 or 8 green onions, sliced
    2 to 4 Tbsp. soy sauce
Preparation
    Toast rice in heavy uncovered pan in a 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes. Melt butter in heavy pan with tight fitting lid.
    Brown rice slightly in the butter; pour in liquids and bring to a boil. Turn heat very low; cover and let steam for 25 to 30 minutes. Stir in finely chopped onions, including tops, and soy sauce. Remove from heat, but keep covered and let steam for a few more minutes.
