Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. white or yellow corn meal
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. soda
1/4 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/3 c. water

Preparation

Combine dry ingredients and onion.
Add buttermilk; stir just until corn meal mixture is moistened.
Drop rounded teaspoonfuls into deep, hot fat (375\u00b0).
