Asparagus And Pea Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. melted butter
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. milk
    cayenne pepper (optional)
    5 oz. sharp, grated cheese
    1 1/2 c. cracker crumbs (I use Town House)
    1 stick melted butter
    1 (No. 303) can green asparagus, drained
    1 small can green peas, drained
    2 oz. chopped mushrooms
    slivered almonds
Preparation
    Make cream sauce of first 3 ingredients.
    Add cayenne pepper and cheese; set aside.
    Mix cracker crumbs with 1 stick melted butter; set aside.
    In buttered casserole, add in layers the asparagus, peas, half of cracker crumbs and mushrooms.
    Top with sauce, followed by other half of cracker crumbs.
    Sprinkle almonds on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
