Stuffed Pork Chops - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 pork chops, cut 3/4-inch thick
shortening
salt and pepper
6 Tbsp. uncooked rice
6 tomato slices
6 onion slices
6 green pepper rings
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
Preparation

In skillet, brown chops in small amount of shortening.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Place chops in greased baking dish.
Top each chop with a tablespoon of rice.
Place tomato slices, onion slices and green pepper on rice.
Spoon tomatoes over all.
Cover.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
Add mushrooms.
Cover and continue baking for 30 minutes longer. Makes 4 servings.
