Ham And Cheese Strada - cooking recipe
Ingredients

16 slices bread, crust removed
mustard
8 slices Cheddar/Monterey Jack cheese
1 Tbsp. minced onion or green onion
8 slices ham
3 c. milk
4 eggs
salt and pepper
2 oz. Parmesan cheese
butter or margarine
Preparation

Butter a 3-quart baking dish (9 x 13-inch) Butter one side of 8 slices of bread.
Place buttered side down in baking dish.
Spread with mustard.
Top bread with cheese slices.
Sprinkle with white or green onions.
Top with ham slices.
Butter remaining 8 slices of bread.
Place over ham, buttered side up.
Beat milk, eggs, salt and pepper to taste.
Pour over bread.
Pat down.
Top with Parmesan cheese.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour (longer if very cold when placed in oven).
Serves 8.
