Abeliene Beans And Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
1/2 tsp. ground cumin seed
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed chicken broth
1 soup can water
1 c. raw regular rice, uncooked
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (15 1/5 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
1/4 c. pimento, chopped
Preparation

In saucepan, cook onion and green pepper with cumin in butter until tender.
Add broth, water, rice, salt and pepper.
Cover, bring to boil.
Reduce heat, simmer for 25 minutes or until done. Stir occasionally.
Add beans and pimento.
Heat.
Makes about 5 1/2 cups or 4 servings.
