Butterscotch-Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sifted flour
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 c. butter flavor shortening
    1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. quick cooking oats
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Sift together flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon; set aside.
    Cream together shortening, brown sugar and sugar in bowl until light and fluffy.
    Add egg; beat well. Stir dry ingredients into creamed mixture, blending well.
    Add oats.
    Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 3 inches apart on greased baking sheets.
    Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
    Remove from baking sheets when slightly cooled.
    Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
