Soft Pretzels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

yeast
1 c. warm water
3 3/4 c. flour
3 Tbsp. light corn syrup
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
4 c. cold water
1/3 c. baking soda
coarse pretzel salt
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add 2 cups of flour and beat until smooth.
Add corn syrup, butter and salt.
Mix well for 2 minutes. Add remaining flour and knead until all flour is worked into dough.
Cover and put in warm place until dough doubles in size (1 to 1 1/2 hours)*.
