Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. and 2 Tbsp. Crisco
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 oz. red food coloring
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and beat well.
    Sift flour, salt and cocoa 3 times and add alternately to creamed mixture with buttermilk.
    Add vanilla and red coloring. Last fold in soda and vinegar; do not beat.
    Bake in 2 (9-inch) pans at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
