Sweet Potato Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium sized or 1 (29 oz.) can sweet potatoes
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
    1/4 c. evaporated milk
    1/4 c. ground pecans
Preparation
    Cook sweet potatoes; peel and slice crosswise, about 3/8-inch thick.
    Spread in a greased shallow 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Cut margarine into flour and brown sugar as you would in making a pie crust.
    Add pepper, milk and ground nuts; mix well.
    Spread over potato slices.
    Broil about 6-inches from heat until bubbly and carmelized, about 7 minutes.
    Yields 6 servings.
