Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 qt. vinegar
    3 qt. water
    1 c. canning salt
    1/8 tsp. alum
    1 Tbsp. dill seed or 2 fresh dill
    1/2 tsp. red pepper
    1 clove garlic
    1 grape leaf
Preparation
    Pour hot vinegar back over pickles and seal.
