Turkey Au Gratin - cooking recipe
Ingredients

10 lb. boneless turkey breast
7 lb. broccoli
1 lb. butter
4 c. flour
2 qt. half and half
1/2 gal. milk
4 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
3 Tbsp. garlic powder

Preparation

Cook turkey for 3 1/2 to 4 hours at 350\u00b0.
Cool for 15 minutes.
Slice thin.
Steam broccoli 4 minutes.
Melt butter in a large pot over very low heat.
Add flour to melted butter; blend. Cook mixture for 10 minutes, stirring often to prevent burning. Add half and half, milk, cheese and garlic to flour mixture; stir until well blended.
Allow to cook until mixture thickens (10 to 15 minutes), stirring often.
Add water if necessary (a thick cheese sauce is desired).
Arrange broccoli spears in a large roasting pan.
Drape turkey slices over broccoli.
Pour cheese sauce over turkey and broccoli until all is covered.
Sprinkle lightly with paprika.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Makes 12 to 16 servings.
