Frogmore Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. medium shrimp (40 to 50 to a lb.)
    1/4 lb. butter
    2 lb. mild Hillshire sausage, cut in small pieces
    10 small ears corn
    2 lb. medium new potatoes, diced large
    1 large onion, diced large
    6 blue crabs, cleaned and broken in half (optional)
    4 Tbsp. Old Bay seasoning or 1 bag crab boil
    4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    You will also need a 6 to 8-quart stock pot and 1 large spoon with holes.
