Mustard Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 c. green tomatoes, chopped
    2 1/2 c. onions, chopped
    6 large green and red bell peppers, chopped
Preparation
    Combine
    tomatoes
    and onions;\tadd 3 tablespoons salt. Add enough cold water
    to
    cover.
    In
    separate
    container add 1 1/2 tablespoons salt and
    enough
    cold\twater
    to
    cover the peppers. Let each pan
    set
    10 to 12 hours.\tDrain vegetables and rinse well.
    Combine green tomatoes, onions and peppers in large pot and add enough\twater to cover.
    Bring to a boil for 10 minutes (onions should
    be\tclear,\tbut not mushy).
    Drain; set aside to cool.
