Gilbert'S Garden Pasta Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped onions
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, undrained and crushed
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 lb. fresh or frozen mixed vegetables (broccoli flowerets, cauliflowerets, diagonally sliced carrots and bamboo shoots)
    2 c. chopped Prosciutto ham
    1 c. grated fresh Romano cheese
    1 tsp. each oregano, basil, rosemary, salt and firmly packed light brown sugar
    hot cooked mostaccioli pasta
Preparation
    In large saucepan, saute onions and garlic in hot oil 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil.
    Simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes.
    Makes 8 servings.
