Miss Opal'S Peach Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. water
    20 oz. can crushed pineapple
    8 oz. cream cheese
    9 oz. Cool Whip
    1/2 c. sugar
    6 oz. box peach jello
    1 c. chopped canned peaches
Preparation
    Combine water, sugar, crushed pineapple and heat to boiling. Add peach jello and stir until dissolved.
    Add cream cheese to hot mixture and stir until melted.
    Mix well.
    Chill until thickened, but not jelled!
    Add chopped canned peaches and Cool Whip and mix well. Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Chill!
