Favorite Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. self-rising flour
    4 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla or 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Sift flour and measure.
    Add liquid and flour alternately, beginning and ending with flour.
    Add flavoring.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 in greased and floured tube pan for 30 to 40 minutes.
