Raisin Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. rolled oats
    1 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Preheat the oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cook the 1 cup raisins and 1 cup water together until about 5 tablespoons of water remains.
    Drain and reserve the liquid.
    Mix together the shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Stir in the cooled raisin liquid and the vanilla.
    Sift the dry ingredients together and stir into the dough.
    Stir in the cooked raisins and the rolled oats.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheets.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
