Red Velvet Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. unsifted plain flour
    7 eggs
    1 oz. red food coloring
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. warm milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add 1 egg at a time, beating after each addition.
    Add food coloring.
    Add salt and flour. Alternately with vanilla, add milk.
    Mix well after each addition. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes in 10-inch tube pan.
