Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. sliced squash
    2 c. onions, chopped
    2 c. bell pepper, chopped
    1 large jar pimento
    3/4 c. salt
    3 c. sugar
    2 c. vinegar
    2 tsp. mustard seed
    2 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Soak squash, onion and bell pepper in salt, covered with 3 quarts cold water for at least 1 hour.
    Drain well.
