Spiced Pecans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white sugar
    5 Tbsp. canned milk
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Mix all the ingredients, except nuts, in a saucepan and bring to a boil for 3 to 5 minutes or until the mixture forms a soft ball in cold water.
    Take off of stove and stir in the pecan halves.
    Keep stirring until all the syrup sticks to the nuts. Pour the nuts out onto a brown paper bag, separate, and let them cool.
