Sweet-Sour Pork - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean pork shoulder, cut in 2 x 1/2-inch strips
    1 lb. (No. 2) can pineapple chunks, drained (2 1/2 c.)
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 to 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 small green pepper, cut in strips
    1/4 c. thinly sliced onion
Preparation
    Brown pork; add 1/3 cup water.
    Cover and simmer until tender, about 1 hour.
    Drain pineapple, reserving syrup.
    Combine sugars and cornstarch.
    Add pineapple, syrup, soy sauce and salt.
    Add to pork; stir until thick.
    Add pineapple, green pepper and onion. Cook 2 minutes.
    Serve over hot rice or fried noodles and extra soy sauce.
