Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. milk
1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk
4 eggs, separated (at room temperature)
6 bananas, ripened
3 boxes wafers
vanilla extract to taste
dash of salt
1 bowl Cool Whip, thawed (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
Slice bananas, reserving two, and empty cookies; set aside.
Combine 1/2 cup of sugar, flour and dash of salt in double boiler over boiling water.
Pour in egg yolks and both milks, stirring constantly until it thickens.
Reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and add vanilla extract, blending well.
